Famous in France above all for featuring in a well-known nursery rhyme, the town of Foix is situated at the foot of the Pyrenees in south-west France. This small town became an important city in the Middle Ages. You can still appreciate its medieval flavour when strolling along its narrow streets, towered over by its fabulous 11th-century castle. Around the town, many prehistoric and historic sites illustrate the region’s heritage and wild natural beauty. Foix is easy to get to, with airports and railway stations nearby. It is 1 hour 15 minutes from Toulouse and 1 hour 50 minutes from the Spanish border by train, and 1 hour from Carcassonne by car. Mountain lovers will appreciate the outdoor activities on offer, such as hiking, climbing, potholing and skiing.
Valorme achieves a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness. You will practise French all day long with an experienced teacher, who tailors the programme to your needs, interests and wishes, and accompanies and supports you throughout your stay. Corine pays particular attention to your individual progress and well-being. The studio apartments are designed for the comfort of visitors and will allow you to enjoy sociable moments while retaining a certain degree of freedom.
